   Yes, just make sure its in something that wont spill. As long as its checked you should be fine.

   I think so for wine, but not for beer cause it might explode due to pressure differentiation. As long as you aren’t going out of country, then you’d have to deal with customs with that junk.

   I do not think most cruise ships allow you to bring beer and wine aboard because they make a lot of money selling it. The only exception is "all inclusive including liquor and beer" cruises which are few and far between. The typical ship has free food and soft drinks but charges for liquor and beer. Don’t check beer and wine in your luggage, it could break or explode if champaign.

   You can take alcohol in checked bags, but wrap it in your clothing to avoid broken glass bottles. As for the cruise ship, well, good luck if that is your plan. (1) They will look because it isn’t allowed. (2) They will look for regular security reasons.

   You can carry alcoholic beverages in your checked luggage and, in fact, it is preferred that you pack any in your checked luggage. Just make sure it is packed carefully and sealed in a leak proof case. However most cruise lines prohibit the bringing of alcohol on board their ships so you may find it confiscated by the cruise line. The only alcohol allowed on board is what is purchased on board. You also cannot purchase duty free, if available, on board then consume it. It is generally delivered to your cabin the last night on board the ship.

   I manage a wine shop and we recommend a product called ‘wineskin’ for use in checked baggage. It is padded and seals so it won’t leak if you happen to have a break.
   The cruise ship might be tricky, but you could get lucky and they will load your baggage, but not x-ray it.
